On Monday, the North Central Washington Narcotics Task Force along with the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office, Omak Police Department, Twisp Police Department and the Okanogan County Special Response Team executed two search warrants in the Okanogan area leading to the arrest of five people and seizure of large amounts of drugs.
Okanogan County Sheriff Tony Hawley said the Task Force began an investigation into a drug trafficking organization back in November of 2018.
That investigation lead to the two search warrants that were executed on Monday and Hawley said, “Law Enforcement is continuing the investigation and actively searching for at least one other suspect.”
The warrants were served on two homes, one on Elmway and the second on North 5th Ave. in Okanogan.
The five arrested include:
Maudean L. Vervalen age 29 -Arrested on 4 felony charges including 2-counts of Delivery of Controlled Substance, possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver, and possession of drugs by prisoner.
Clifton R. Scroggins age 45 -Arrested for two felony charges, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine.
Luis A. Orosco age 34 – Arrested for possession of Controlled substance Heroin, 2 Felony Warrants, and a misdemeanor warrant.
Stacy L. Rodriguez age 52 – Arrested for a Felony Warrant
Ashley J. Pearl age 32 – Arrested for a Felony Warrant.
Hawley said officers seized large amounts of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Heroin. He said the estimated street value of the Methamphetamine was $10,000.
