Emphasis Patrols Prove Effective

May 22, 2013

With funding provided by Okanogan County Community Coalition's underage drinking prevention program, Omak Police were out on emphasis patrols this past weekend.

A concerned citizen called in to report a party late Saturday night where alcohol and marijuana paraphernalia were found. After field sobriety tests and breathalyzer tests were done, two juvenile males and one juvenile female were arrested and cited for Minor in Possession. They face fines and time in juvenile detention.

Emphasis patrols will continue through the month of June. The Omak Police Department and the Okanogan County Community Coalition are committed to keeping Omak youth safe.

If you suspect someone is providing alcohol to minors please call 826- 0383
