Fire Destroys Outbuilding on Ash Street

Quick work by Omak Fire crews kept a outbuilding fire from destroying neighboring houses on Wednesday night. Omak Fire Chief Kevin Bowling said crews were called to 514 South Ash Street at 9:12pm Wednesday.

He said the building/shed was destroyed and the fire did damage a large tree on the property, a fence, another small storage shed and a garage, but no houses were damaged in the blaze.

Crews were on scene for just a little over an hour, clearing the scene at 10:17pm.
