Lightning Caused Fires Now Contained on Tonasket Ranger District

Firefighters responded to two lightning caused fires in the
Mt. Hull area today.

Forest Service engines and crews responded to two fires visible from Highway 97. The fires were about one-quarter mile apart and each was less than one-tenth of an acre in size. Both fires are now contained.

"We appreciate the phone calls from concerned citizens reporting these fires," said Rick Lind, Fire Management Officer for Tonasket Ranger District. "Early response is important and those phone calls help with that."
