Three people were injured in a multiple car accident at the stoplight on Highway 97 at the south entrance to Omak Thursday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Patrol, 85-year-old Eugene R. Albin, of Omak, did not notice that three vehicles were stopped at the light. Albin rear-ended a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by 33-year-old Kristie R. Fletcher, of Okanogan, setting off the chain event. Fletcher's vehicle then struck a Ford Focus, which in turn struck a pickup.

Albin, Fletcher, and her passenger, 36-year-old D.J. James Fletcher were all transported to Mid Valley Hospital with bruises. The two other drivers were not injured.

Albin and Fletcher's vehicles were both totaled. Albin was cited for following too close.
