Okanogan County Community Coalition Hosts the Reptile Man

Nov 27, 2017

On November 30th at 5:30 p.m., the Okanogan County Community Coalition with their partners Omak School District, Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare, Omak Police Dept., Washington Fish & Wildlife Police, MidValley Hospital, and Washington State Patrol are hosting the Reptile Man at Omak Performing Arts Center to celebrate local efforts to reduce underage substance use in the community and provide parents with resources to talk to their kids about the dangers of youth substance use.

This free family fun event is also an opportunity for the Okanogan County Community Coalition to gather data from the community that they can use locally for future assessments. Previous data from the community survey has been used to develop media campaigns like: 9 out of 10 Omak Adults Don’t Agree with Underage Drinking. Parents who take the survey can enter a drawing for one of three family fun prize baskets including: Family Movie Night, Family Game Night, a Christmas Themed Basket, and a Seattle Seahawk fan prize basket.

You can get an additional prize basket ticket by donating a can of food for the Omak Food Bank.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for light refreshments and the Reptile Man show starts at 6:30 p.m. Please come early to get a seat.  Hope to see you there!
