Okanogan Grange #1103 is sponsoring Primary Candidates Forums

The Okanogan Grange #1103 is sponsoring Primary Candidates Forums. There will be one on Thursday July 19^th for Sheriff’s candidates and then another on Thursday, July 26^th for other candidates. The Forums will be from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. at the Okanogan Grange Hall, 305 Tyee Street in Okanogan.

Candidates for Okanogan County elected offices whose names will appear on the Okanogan County August 7^th primary ballot for contested Okanogan County positions are being invited to attend to the two forums, divided into two evenings in order to present information in a more easily captured timeframe.

This will be an educational opportunity for the community and a civil gathering which will encourage open dialog between candidates and the voting public on issues of concern. The session will be moderated by Jim Martin, Grange member. Members of the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and talk with the candidates prior to the event and also can write questions on cards that will be given to the moderator. Candidates will have 5 minutes to introduce themselves at the beginning of the event.
