Oroville man killed in crash near Chesaw

An Oroville man died Saturday after his 1991 Ford flatbed crashed into a tree on Chesaw Road.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said, 69-year-old Frank L. Waleczak, died at the scene.

Rogers said it's unknown what caused the crash, "but alcohol was believed to be a factor." The investigation is continuing.

The Sheriff said Waleczak's dog was in the bed of the truck, but was not injured. The dog is being cared for by a Chesaw firefighter.
