Pateros Man Injured in Rollover Accident

A 22-year-old Pateros man was injured Thursday afternoon, when he overcorrected and rolled his car on Highway 97 about ten miles north of Brewster.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, Christopher W. Thomas was northbound when his vehicle began to leave the roadway to the right. Thomas overcorrected causing his vehicle to swerve into the southbound lane. The State Patrol says Thomas then overcorrected again, causing his vehicle to go back to the right, leave the roadway and roll. The car landed on it's top.

Thomas, who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported to the Okanogan Douglas District Hospital in Brewster with unspecified injures. The State Patrol says drugs or alcohol were involved, and charges are pending.
