Public Health Says One Person Being Tested for COVID-19

There are no confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Okanogan County at this time.  There is one individual who is being tested, however they are quarantined and pose no threat to the public. 

Use the same procedures to lessen your risk of contacting the COVID-19 as you would any other contagious flu or virus.

   Wash your hands often with soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water aren’t available

   Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands

   Disinfect objects and surfaces

   Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing

   Avoid close contact with people who are sick

    Stay home and away from others if you are sick

CALL your healthcare provider or Washington State Department of Health Coronavirus Hotline at 1-800-525-0127# for a telephone screening before going to your health care provider.

Rely on information from trusted sources such as  Okanogan County Public Health, Washington State Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), not rumors or social media
