The Okanogan County Noxious Weed Control Board will be holding a Recertification Class on December 5, 2019 at the Omak Theater, 108 N. Main St, Omak Washington. The concession stand will be open, come and enjoy an information filled day!
It’s not necessary to pre-register for this free class since there is plenty of seating. Parking is on the street, please be considerate of local businesses.
The class will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm:
9:00 to 9:10 – Anna Lyon, Okanogan Noxious Weed Control Board
9:10 to 10:00 – Steven Lesky, Army Corp, Rufus Woods Flowering Rush ID and Control Options
10:00 to 10:50 – Clark Smith, Corteva Agriscience Corteva Noxious Weed Solutions: Rates, Timing, Identification, etc He will talk about their product portfolio but also weed id, rates, timing, tank mixes, calibration, mode of action, resistance management.
11:10 to 12:00 – Bruce Olson, Washington Department of Agriculture, Compliance Completing Pesticide Application Records and PPE Selection and Use
1:30 to 2:20 –Clark Smith, Corteva Agriscience Herbicide Stewardship and How to Make a Successful Application
2:20 to 3:10 – Danielle Blevins, CCT Land Operations/Range Programs Colville Tribe’s Invasive Plant Program
3:10 to 4:00 – Larry Hudson, OCNWCB Assistant Manager Adopting Weed Control to Weather Conditions
There will be no charge for the class; credits will be available.
