On Wednesday, the Okanogan School District was notified they had received a donation of $13,154 to be used for the purchase of an electronic reader board sign.

A request by Dr. Johnson to better communicate with the community on school and community events resulted in this generous donation being made by Echo Bay Minerals Company of Republic Washington.

Mr. Doug Jones, Vice President and General Manager, said, "Our goal is to partner with organizations on specific projects that will help the community."

Dr. Johnson said, "The importance Echo Bay Minerals Company places on being a friendly and supportive neighbor makes us appreciate that they came to this part of the country to conduct their business."

The sign will be located on the corner of the Middle-High School buildings
