Soloists Sought for Sing-Along Messiah

Singers who wish to perform solo parts in the Okanogan Friends of Music annual Sing-Along Messiah are invited to an organizational rehearsal at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Omak High School choral room.

The Messiah will be performed, with the audience encouraged to sing along on choruses, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Ellisforde Church of the Brethren. Omak music teacher Don Pearce will direct instrumentalists from the Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Mary Koch will play the church pipe organ.

The purpose of the Nov. 19 rehearsal will be to assign solo recitatives and arias. Any singers who cannot attend but would like to perform a solo part may call Autumn Martin, at 322-0495, or Mary Koch at 826-6206.
