Teen Charged With Failure to Yield

A Riverside teen has been charged with failure to yield in a two vehicle accident that left both cars damaged but no one injured.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, 17-year-old Jeff Renfro, of Riverside was turning from a private driveway on the south side of Highway 20 about 17 miles east of Tonasket on Sunday afternoon, when he pulled out in front of a minivan driven by 61-year-old Lawrence Lembcke , of Republic.

The vehicles collided in the eastbound lane. Neither driver was injured in the accident however Renfro was transported by ambulance to North Valley Hospital in Tonasket as a precaution. According to the State Patrol, both vehicles had reportable damage.
