THIRD FIRE IN FIFTEEN DAYS CLAIMS ANOTHER LIFE

An Oroville man was killed in a trailer fire on the Chesaw road Saturday night, the third fire related fatality in fifteen days.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said Oroville Fire and ambulance and Oroville Police responded to a camper trailer fire on Chesaw Road around 8:16pm Saturday. He said, "When they arrived the trailer was fully engulfed." He said once the fire was extinguished fire fighters found the man's body in the trailer.

Rogers said deputies were able to determine that the victim in the fire is 55-year-old Wayne M. Cumbo, of Oroville. He said, the cause of the fire is unknown at this time but is possibly accidental. He said, Cumbo's family members of were on scene last night at the fire, including his father. The trailer was totaled destroyed during the fire.

This is the third fire in fifteen days where a life has been taken. The first one was a trailer fire in Pateros on February 11th, which claimed the life of Christina M. Kiesecker, 57 of Pateros , the second one was on February 19th, in which a vehicle fire on Havillah Road that took the life of Colleen A. Sherlock, 73 of Tonasket.

Investigation is still on going to determine cause.
