Three Tonasket Men Arrested Following a String of Burglaries

Three Tonasket men were arrested earlier this month, following the investigation into the burglaries of three different cabins on the Aeneas Valley Road.

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said on April 7^th, the men allegedly broke into the three cabins by kicking in the front doors. He said, they had ransacked the interior of all the cabins and had stolen several items to include, camping gear, tools, kitchen ware, a flat screen Visio television, toiletries, and food items. Rogers said, “the total value of stolen and damaged items was over $17,000.”

The Sheriff said these same suspects had also broken into another small cabin in the area that belonged to another individual.

One of the cabins had a game camera that captured a picture of the men doing the burglary.

Sheriff’s deputies located several of the stolen items from the residences at a home on Aeneas Valley Road. At that home, deputies arrested 22-year-old Jonathan G. Zigler, of Tonasket and 29-year-old Barry J. Collins, of Tonasket.

Zigler was booked into the Okanogan County Jail on two counts of Residential Burglary, 2^nd Degree Burglary; 2^nd Degree Theft; and Possession Stolen Property in the 2nd Degree.

Collins was booked on two counts of Residential Burglary; 2^nd Degree Burglary; 2nd Degree Theft; and 2nd Degree Malicious Mischief.

Rogers said on April 8^th, Deputies located a third suspect, 24-year-old Aaron D. Zigler, of Tonasket.

Aaron Zigler, was arrested and was booked on three counts of Residential Burglary; 2^nd Degree Burglary; 2nd Degree Theft; Possession Stolen Property in the 2nd Degree; and 2^nd Degree Malicious Mischief.

Rogers said Deputy Terry Shrable and Deputy Isaiah Holloway recovered a large amount of the stolen items. He said, “They did an incredible job on this case and should be commended.”
