Twisp Forest Restoration Project Comment Period Extended to December 18

News Release

Nov 20, 2020

The public comment period for the Twisp Forest Restoration Draft Environmental Assessment has been extended to close on Friday, December 18, 2020. The additional two weeks are being added to mitigate COVID-19 restrictions that made it difficult for Forest Service staff to meet with partners and the public, resulting in loss of collaboration opportunities prior to release of the draft EA.

“Our team’s intent is the added time will provide opportunities for dialogue and information exchange between Forest Service staff and interested parties,” said Methow Valley District Ranger Chris Furr “This is important project for the district and community, your voice matters and we look forward to receiving your feedback on the draft assessment.”

To learn more about the proposal and draft analysis, check out the project page. Comments can also be submitted online here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=56554.

If you have questions please call project leader, Eireann Pederson at 509-996-4018 or email erpederson@fs.fed.us.

The Twisp Forest Restoration project area is located 2 miles south and west of both Twisp and Winthrop, WA
