Two Injured in Rollover Accident

Two north county men were injured in a one vehicle rollover accident , three miles south of Oroville early this morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, 42-year-old Ricky G. Shively, of Oroville was driving south on Highway 97 about 3:20 AM this morning, when he drove off the right side of the road onto the dirt shoulder, overcorrected, crossed the road and struck an embankment on the northbound shoulder. The vehicle rolled, coming to rest on it's top and caught fire.

Shively, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was transported to North Valley Hospital with a sore neck and back. His passenger, 45-year-old Charles D. Ross, of Tonasket was transported to North Valley with an arm laceration and leg injury. The report says Ross was wearing his seatbelt.

The State Patrol charged Shively with DUI and driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was totaled in the accident.
