Detectives from the Washington State Patrol Criminal Investigative Division (CID) have arrested a Graham-area man for allegedly making threats to Governor Chris Gregoire.

The threat arrived at the Governor's office about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday. It took detectives only about six hours to trace the internet threat and arrest a suspect.

Robert R. Locke, 51, was taken into custody at 2:30 p.m. while walking along 200th Street East in Pierce County. Detectives had first responded to Locke's home, and began a search of the area when he was not present. The arrest took place without incident.

Locke was booked into the Pierce County Jail for one count of Threats Against the Governor or Family (RCW 9A.36.090) which is a Class 'C' Felony
